Welcome to STANCARD, Nigeria's super app for trade and payments. By creating an account or using any part of the STANCARD platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. These terms govern your use of the STANCARD mobile and web application, including all marketplace, wallet, messaging, and social features.
To use STANCARD, you must be at least 18 years of age and either a Nigerian resident or a member of the Nigerian diaspora. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. STANCARD reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts found to contain false or misleading information.
The STANCARD wallet allows you to send, receive, and store value within the platform. All transactions are subject to platform fees as published in the app. Transaction limits apply based on your account tier and KYC verification status. STANCARD is not liable for delays or failures caused by network outages, third-party payment processors, or bank downtime. All wallet operations are subject to Nigerian financial regulations.
Users may list goods and services on the STANCARD marketplace subject to our listing guidelines. Prohibited items include weapons, illegal substances, counterfeit goods, and any items banned under Nigerian law. Escrow services are available to protect both buyers and sellers in high-value transactions. Buyers and sellers are both responsible for accurate descriptions and timely fulfilment. STANCARD may remove listings and suspend accounts that violate these rules.
Full access to STANCARD's financial features requires completion of our Know Your Customer (KYC) process. You agree to submit accurate identity documents including a valid government-issued ID and proof of address. KYC submissions are reviewed by STANCARD's compliance team. Submitting false KYC documents is a violation of these Terms and may be reported to relevant Nigerian authorities.
You agree to use STANCARD only for lawful purposes. You must not use the platform to facilitate fraud, money laundering, or any activity that violates Nigerian law. You are responsible for securing your account, including your withdrawal PIN. You agree not to share your account credentials with third parties. STANCARD reserves the right to investigate and act on any suspected violations.
The STANCARD brand, logo, and platform design are owned by STANCARD and may not be copied or used without permission. By posting content on STANCARD (including Stan Cards, listings, and profile information), you grant STANCARD a non-exclusive licence to display and distribute that content within the platform. You retain ownership of your content.
STANCARD provides internal dispute resolution for marketplace transactions and escrow disagreements. Users must raise disputes through the in-app support channel before seeking external resolution. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes not resolved through internal channels shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State.
STANCARD is not liable for the actions of third-party service providers, including payment processors, logistics companies, or internet service providers. To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, STANCARD's total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the fees you have paid to STANCARD in the three months preceding the claim. STANCARD is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
